Taking Time

'Tis the day before Christmas and the entire world is, today, either madly rushing around doing last minute shopping or sitting quietly, awaiting a beautiful Christmas Eve candle light service at their church (I suppose most, actually, are rushing around all day just before the quietness of a beautiful service).

But let me suggest something (nothing new - you've heard it a zillion times)... Stop and enjoy the things you normally hurry past. Spend some quiet, calm, peaceful time, not as an item on your schedule, but apart from it. Let down your defenses, let go of your expectations, give up your pretenses and simply enjoy the supreme beauty of being alive in this Christmas season with family and loved ones.
