Who Are You?

What you do is important, but what you do is not who you are. The words you speak express your ideas but even they are not who you are. The circumstances of your life fill out your existence, but they are not who you are. The problems you face – the possibilities that daily present themselves – the challenges you face along the way – the values that are deeply ingrained in you – are not who you are.

Your past – accomplishments, memories, failures, commitments, loves, frustrations, resentments are all part of what make you who you are, but they are not who you are, either.

YOU are more than your words, actions, circumstances, past, present and future.  …So who, exactly, are you?

You are the person who can give it all meaning. You are the composite of all that has, is or will touch you.  You are the person who makes sense of it all. You are the person who can make it all into a beautiful mosaic. That’s who you are.

Today: Make the most of who you are.
