A favorite saying from the Bible: “This is a day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.” That’s not a bad motto to live by. Each day is a gift. Each day is filled with possibilities. Each day we can begin again. Each day we can move forward toward our goals. Each day we can seek and find happiness.
Welcome the opinions and perspectives of others today. Welcome them especially if they are different than your own. By listening to the ideas of others, we are stimulated to think in new ways, to refine our own thinking – sometimes to solidify it.
Accept what comes your way today. Roll with it if it is
something negative or unpleasant. Whatever it is will end. But in facing it your character is strengthened and you just may discover new possibilities.
The sun came up this morning. The clouds may have obscured it, but it was there. Even though it may not have shined through, it still served to warm and nourish the earth. There is sunshine in our lives even when it isn’t so obvious. Know that and have courage.
