There is virtually no goal that cannot be reached through dogged perseverance. As the Colorado River cut through solid rock to form the Grand Canyon over the course of a thousand centuries, so you can work wondrous – almost miraculous – things in your life through simply sticking with it without wavering.
The problem with perseverance, of course, is how to get it – how to maintain it and “keep going” in the face of obstacles or criticism or, sometimes, the painful slowness of success.
Perseverance is nothing more nor less than a concept in your mind. So long as you can keep that concept as a high priority – in other words REALLY wanting it – it will be there.
What things in your life do you truly want to change, to improve, to create, to accomplish? Why do you want to? How much do you want to? Can you be like the Colorado River and stay with it? Do you want it that much? Persevere. You will be amazed at what you can do.
